Are those legs itching to run fast, then get signed up to this 6-week speed pass. 

This project is open to anyone, whether your just looking for a little focus to your training, you want a race, then get ready!

 

All participants will receive a personalised training plan geared towards the 10km. The 6-week training plan will start on Monday 22nd February and will finish with the Virtual Race on  Sunday 4th April 2021

The Plan!

Training plans will be published to each participant’s VDOT O2 calendar, which includes the ability to manage your training via mobile, the web and via a PDF copy of your program. VDOT O2 also syncs with GPS so you can easily manage your prescribed workouts and actual splits.

Your training schedule will have two quality sessions on it, then you will make up the rest of the weeks running with 1-2 long easy mile runs.

How it Works

  • Enter race

  • Log in or set up a VDOT O2 account

  • Register for the race

  • Sync your GPS and enter/save your time on your calendar

  • Receive notifications to track results and find out your official ranking

 

Rules

  • Results must have GPS data synced via Garmin or Strava

  • Racecourses with a negative net elevation loss > 1% will be disqualified

 

Safety First

  • Always consult with a medical professional prior to undertaking intense physical exercise

  • Use your best judgment and always stay under control during a virtual race

  • Focus on your surroundings and not your device/tracker

  • Listen to your body and take care of yourself

How it Works

  • Opt into virtual racing on VDOT Challenge homepage

  • Add your race/save the result to your calendar on designated race weekends

  • Race results are published on Mondays following a VDOT Challenge weekend.

  • Prizes are available from our race sponsors (terms/conditions may vary)

 

Rules

  • Results are ranked by VDOT scoring

  • Results must have GPS data synced via Garmin or Strava

  • Results must be saved to your calendar by Sunday at 11:59pm PST

  • Race courses with a negative net elevation loss > 1% will be disqualified
